New for 2025: Calera’s “Parade of Light” Returns to Traditional Route Along Main Street
Calera, AL — The City of Calera is proud to announce the return of a cherished holiday tradition as the 2025 Calera Christmas Parade: “Parade of Light” brings festive cheer back to its original parade route through downtown Calera.
The parade will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., starting at 8th Avenue across from City Hall and traveling south along the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 31. The procession will conclude at 18th Avenue, with floats and participants parking behind Hardee’s following the event.
This year marks the parade’s return to its traditional downtown route, a move that has long been requested by residents. Organizers encourage all spectators to enjoy the festivities safely from the southbound side of Highway 31, where all viewing will take place.

The registration deadline is December 1.
Parade Night Highlights
- Spectator Viewing: All guest viewing areas will be located along the southbound side of Highway 31, from 8th Avenue to 18th Avenue.
- Pre-Parade Festivities: Enjoy complimentary popcorn and sweets from Creations Galore & Moore and warm hot chocolate from Adventurer’s Coffee Co. before the parade begins.
- After-Parade Celebration: The excitement continues at the Calera Courtyard for the Rockin’ on Main Street After Party, featuring live music from Blind Ambition, food trucks, kids’ inflatables, and a special appearance by Santa Claus for photos by the city’s Christmas tree. The celebration will run until 10:30 p.m.
