APRIL 5: First Friday – Crawfish Boil
Presenting Sponsors ERA King Real Estate and Red Mountain Crawfish bring to you our 3rd Annual Crawfish Boil to kick off the 2024 festival season! Awesome local vendors, fun & games, live music, and incredible food are in store!
APRIL 20: Strawberry Festival

MAY 3: First Friday – Cinco de Mayo & Cornhole Tournament
Our 3rd Annual Cornhole Tournament raising money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society takes place alongside a Cinco de Mayo extravaganza at First Friday, from Presenting Sponsor Sav Mor Food Outlet and Killing Time Cornhole. Join us for a festive celebration to benefit a great cause! Tournament registration will open soon.
JUNE 7: First Friday – Backyard Bash
Summer fun is in full swing at First Friday from Presenting Sponsor Shelby County Newspapers with vendors, music, a dunking booth where you can dunk your favorite local celebrity, and our 3rd Annual Food Truck Slider Showdown! (Tickets to participate in the Showdown benefit Calera Main Street.)
JULY 4: First Friday – Independence Day Fireworks
Along with Presenting Sponsors TNT Fireworks and Calera Parks & Rec, First Friday (on Thursday this month) is bringing the bang with an exciting fireworks display after dark! Come for the vendors, food, & fun – stay for the fireworks!
AUGUST 2: First Friday – Back to School
It’s that time of year again – time to go back to school! With the help of Presenting Sponsor Central State Bank, we’re closing out the festival season with our annual Backpack Giveaway plus food, fun, vendors!
OCTOBER 8: National Night Out
The 4th Annual National Night Out is an exciting and informative up-close interaction with First Responders! Local, state, and national agencies will be on site for live demonstrations and discussions for all ages, along with vendors, food trucks, activities, and more!
OCTOBER 24: Trunk or Treat
The 6th Annual Trunk or Treat, brought to you by Collectivus Church, is a Calera tradition full of fun, candy, food trucks, costume contests, and dozens of decorated trunks for you to explore! Free to participate and free to enjoy.
NOVEMBER 2: Railyard Rumble Disc Golf Tournament
Let’s get ready to rumble – with disc golf, that is! Calera Main Street’s very own disc golf retailer, Dynamic Discs Iron City, is hosting an 18-hole tournament in and around downtown Calera.
NOVEMBER 30: Small Business Saturday & Tree Lighting
Small Business Saturday is a chance to showcase our incredible Main Street Merchants. Santa himself will be there to help us ring in the holiday season with a Christmas tree lighting under the pavilion in the Calera Courtyard!
DECEMBER 7: Christmas Parade
The annual Calera Christmas parade is a holiday treat for all ages! Community organizations, businesses, and school groups come together for a fun and memorable event through Downtown Calera. Main Street merchants will be open late with parade specials to enjoy.
