Calera, AL, May 1, 2026 – Calera Main Street, in partnership with SavMor, will be hosting First Friday Cornhole Festival in historic downtown Calera, Alabama on Friday, May 1, from 6:00 – 10:00 PM. In addition to the regular lineup of local vendors, merchant specials, food trucks, live music, and the Main Street Kid’s Zone, we will have a cornhole tournament! “We are thrilled to bring our cornhole tournament back to our First Friday Series, with SavMor sponsoring. Our organization thrives on community engagement, and we are so excited to bring one of the community favorites back to Calera. “Andee Colley, Events Director for Calera Main Street stated.

There will also be an improvement to the layout of May’s First Friday, as well.

“The festival booths will still be set up in the Calera Courtyard, with the food trucks in front of the pavilion,” Colley shared. “This way people can use the rear entrances of our Main Street shops to come in and shop their specials, enjoy the playground, visit the restroom, or find a place to sit and cool off. This will make it easier to enjoy the vendors, visit our merchants, and still grab a bite to eat!”

The Calera Courtyard (1120 17th Ave, Calera, AL 35040), is the center of the historic downtown district behind the shops where Hwy 25 and Hwy 31 intersect.
